Sophia goes from high school senior to undead goddess overnight.
Sophia Wentworth thinks she's losing her mind when a handsome stranger appears out of nowhere. She'd thought she was alone in the high school, but it seems she has company - of the supernatural kind!
Lucas Drey, vampire, has had his eye on Sophia for a long time. He's watched her since freshman year, and now that she's a senior, he knows it's time to claim her.
But after Lucas claims Sophia, things don't go according to plan. When she feeds on her first victim, she finds a guy she could easily fall for. Can a vampire and a human make things work? Michael is everything she's ever wanted in a guy. But maybe what she should really ask is will Lucas let her go?
Later that night, as I lay in bed, I dreamt of the vampire. Except, in my dream world, I wasn’t afraid of him.
“Who are you?” I asked bravely, walking towards him.
“Why did you appear to me?”
He smiled, flashing his fangs at me. “Because you’re mine Sophia Wentworth.”
Holy crap, he knows my name!
“How do you know who I am?” I asked softly.
He moved closer still and reached out a hand to softly stroke my long blonde hair. “I know everything about you. I’ve watched you since you first started attending Vance High, and I knew from that first moment that you were destined to be mine.”
I frowned. “How can I be yours if you’re a vampire? In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m human and prefer the sun.”
He leaned close, his lips brushing against my ear, “I’ll make you like me.”
I took a step back. “I don’t want to be a vampire!”
His large hand cupped my cheek and I felt a magnetic pull to him.
“You’ll change your mind, little one. It won’t be long before you beg me to change you.”
